1A/2A Triumphant Over 3A at All-Star Football Game
Football Star Game

The 1A & 2A vs. 3A All-Star Game featured recently graduated seniors who were selected from around the state.

The graduating seniors from Milford High School who were selected to play in the all-star game were:

#6 Ty Netto (unable to play)
#11 Jaxon Davis
#13 Isiah Montoya
$14  Ryan Mayer (unable to play)
#21 Colton Pomerinke
#24 Cole Wilson
#51 Trae Williamson (Captain)
#53 Sid Hardy
#64 Gus Thompson

The game was played at Snow College on Friday, June 8, 2018. It was the final football game for most of these athletes. Four captains and the entire teams walked out for the coin toss at the beginning of the game. One of the captains for the 1A/2A team was Trae Williamson.

The first half of the game was very close. 3A got the first score in the second quarter with a short pass for the touchdown. South Summit's quarterback and receiver connected for a touchdown making the score 7 to 6 in favor of 3A.  The 1A/2A got the ball again with about 3 minutes left until halftime and scored again and then went for a 2 point conversion which was successful.  Halftime score was 14-7 1A/2A ahead.

The second half of the game was dominated by 1A/2A and the momentum changed after Colton Pomerinke caught two interceptions deep in 3A territory resulting in touchdowns. Walter Lebaron (Beaver) got a fumble return for about a 30 yard touchdown and a 20 yard pass to Tyce Raddon (Beaver) helped end the game for a victory with the final score being 48 - 7.

All of the Milford athletes played amazing and were a contributing factor to the victory of the game.

Coach Thane Marshall, Coach Wes Marshall and Coach Isaako Aaitui (Tui) assisted in training and coaching the 1A and 2A players for the game.
